Description
Overgrass Old Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with heightening that occurred in the later 18th century. It is constructed of squared rubble with large, roughly-shaped dressings and features a Welsh slate roof, with a stack that has been rebuilt in brick. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. There are doorways located in the centre and right bays, with the right bay featuring a boarded door. To the left, there is a 12-pane Yorkshire sash window, while the central first-floor window is blocked and flanked by 4-pane sashes. The right end gable has raised reverse-stepped coping, and there are end stacks, with the right stack truncated and the left stack stepped and banded. The rear elevation includes an outshut with a renewed door, three small windows, and raised reverse-stepped coping at the ends. An addition with a metal roof at the east end of the outshut is not of interest.
