Description
Gate Lodge to Seghill Hall is a single-storey building dating from around 1830. It is constructed of tooled stone with ashlar dressings and features a blue slate roof. The lodge has two bays and includes a plinth and corner pilasters. The central entrance consists of a flush-panelled door with a seven-pane overlight, set within a surround that has pilasters and a cornice. There are four-pane sash windows with slightly projecting sills, and a plain eaves cornice. The roof is hipped and has a small central stack. On the left side, there is a one-bay return with a similar window. Extensions to the rear and right of the lodge are not of special interest.
