Description
The stables and carriage house, dating from the 18th century, are located to the north-west of Higham Dykes. Constructed of brick in English Garden Wall Bond, the building features a roof that is steeply pitched, with pantiles over the left bay and stone slates elsewhere. It is a single-storey structure with six bays.
In the center, there is a three-bay stable that includes a boarded door and flanking casement windows. To the left, there are boarded double doors leading to the carriage house. On the right, a similar opening has been later filled in and now contains a sash window, with the intermediate glazing bars removed. The gables are topped with obelisk finials.
