Description
The building is a restaurant located at the rear of The Highlander Public House, originally constructed as farm buildings in the early 19th century. The front features ashlar stonework, while the sides are made of roughly-dressed stone. It has stone and Welsh slate roofs and consists of three single-storey ranges arranged around an open courtyard.
The east range, which is attached to the back of the pub, includes 20th-century casement windows and a later 19th-century corniced stone porch with a shouldered lintel. The north range, located at the rear, was originally a cartshed, characterized by segmental arches and square piers, with small shuttered windows above that once served a granary. The west range features two boarded doors set in alternating-block surrounds. There is a brick section on the left that is not of special interest.
