Description

The Methodist Chapel, originally a Baptist chapel, was built in 1842. It is constructed of coursed rubble with cut quoins and dressings, topped by a slate roof. The gable front features a central set of renewed double doors within a raised stone surround, with raised blocks at the corners. Above the doors, there is a stone inscription reading "BAPTIST/JUBILEE CHAPEL" along with the date. On either side of the doors are 18-pane sash windows with intersecting glazing bars, all set under pointed arches. The gable is coped, and similar windows can be found at the rear of the building.

The chapel may include earlier materials, and there is a Baptist burial ground located behind it that has been in use since at least the mid-17th century.
