Description

The pant in front of No 5 on Corbridge Main Street is likely from the mid-18th century. It is made of squared stone and features a cast iron and ceramic inner trough. The structure is square with a band and a low pyramidal cap topped with a ball finial. There is a boarded opening on the south side and an iron spout on the north side that extends over a rectangular trough with an inner basin made by Walker of Corbridge. Additionally, it has bucket rest bars.
