Description

The drinking fountain, located 60 metres south-east of the Church of St. James, was built in 1873. It is made of squared stone and features a section of wall with gabled coping that steps up over a recess with a segmental-pointed arch. Above a moulded semicircular stone basin, there is a cast-iron lion-mask spout. Additionally, a shield above the spout displays the monogram TMW (Thomas Wilson, J.P.) along with the date.
