Description
The garden walls to the north-west of the Old Vicarage date from the 18th century. The east wall is constructed of brick laid on edge in Flemish bond, with the rear face made of whinstone rubble. The north wall is built in an irregular stretcher bond with stone coping. The long north wall stands 3.5 metres high and features pilasters and flat coping that steps downhill. The east wall runs south-east and then south, with the first part reaching a height of 3.5 metres and the second part 1.2 metres high. These walls are included for their group value. The rubble section at the south end of the east wall and the ruined privy attached to the west end of the north wall are not considered to be of special interest.
