Description

The stable and coach house range, located 50 metres north-west of Charlton Hall, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and was built in two phases. It is constructed of rubble with tooled and margined quoins and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof.

The elevation facing the stable yard is divided into two sections. The left section is the older coach house, featuring boarded double doors set beneath a tall segmental arch. The right section has two storeys and three irregular bays, including a stable door, a boarded door, a 16-pane sash window, and a part-slatted window, along with two low slatted windows positioned directly beneath the eaves. All openings are framed with alternating-block surrounds, and the windows have slightly projecting sills. To the right of the stable door, there is a three-step mounting block. The building has coped gables and a small stack vent on the ridge. A six-panel door is located on the right return.

To the left, there is an attached flat-coped wall with a gateway that connects to the rear of the outbuilding range attached to the rear wing of the Hall.
