Description
Acomb Methodist Church is a chapel built in 1871. The front and right side are made of snecked stone with rusticated quoins and window surrounds, while the other walls are constructed from rubble with cut dressings. It has a Welsh slate roof. The gabled front features a later gabled brick porch, which is flanked by small-paned sash windows with glazing bars that intersect under pointed heads. Above the porch, there is a panel inscribed with "PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHAPEL" along with the date. The gable is coped and has moulded kneelers and a small corniced stop-chamfered stack. There are four similar windows on the right side and one on the left. The porch and the brick schoolroom behind are not of interest.
