Description

This is a Dutch barn built in the late 19th century, located 40 metres west of Town Farmhouse in Wall Village. It is constructed from snecked rough-faced stone, featuring rock-faced quoins and dressings, with cast-iron piers supporting the structure. The roof is made of Welsh slate. The barn consists of 4 + 4 bays, with arcades of piers on chamfered bases that carry timber lintels. The gable ends have tall lancet vents and returned coping, and the roof is supported by king-post trusses. The barn occupies an important corner position on the village green.
