Description

The gatepiers and garden wall located about 15 yards east of The Friars date from the early 19th century. They are constructed from dressed stone and ashlar. The square gatepiers feature shallow pyramidal caps. The wall on the right slopes down at both ends and has a shallow arched coping. There is a similar end pier, with the wall reaching approximately 4 feet high and returning on the right. To the left of the gateway, there is a short, similar L-plan wall.
