Description
The stable block located north-west of Longwitton Hall dates from around 1840. It is constructed of squared and tooled stone with a slate roof, and the rear is covered with asbestos sheets. The building has two storeys and consists of five irregular bays, featuring a block cornice at the eaves. The central entrance has double doors set within an alternating-block surround, and there is a re-set 18th-century sundial with a pediment above it. The windows display varied styles, including some Yorkshire sashes. This stable block is included for its group value with the adjacent Longwitton Hall.
