Description
Stonecroft House is an early 19th-century house constructed from squared ashlar stone, featuring a slate roof. The front of the house is two storeys high with three symmetrical windows. It has a plinth, raised quoins, and paired stone eaves brackets. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door topped with a three-pane fanlight and a pedimented hood supported by scrolled corbels. The windows are twelve-pane sash types, and all openings are framed with channelled architraves. The roof is low-pitched and hipped, with twin ridge stacks that have been rebuilt on their original bases. The right side of the house includes a French window with a radial head and a stepped, shouldered lintel. At the rear, there is a round-headed stair window with radial glazing and a later 19th-century wing to the right. Inside, the house features six-panelled doors and a staircase with a moulded and wreathed handrail.
