Description
West Harle Farmhouse is an 18th-century house that was refaced in the early 19th century. It features a dressed stone facade, with random rubble on other sides, and is topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. The central door consists of six flush panels and includes an overlight, topped by a stone-bracketed cornice hood. The ground-floor windows are 16-pane sashes, while the first-floor windows have been replaced with four-pane sashes.
The roof is gabled with flat coping and has triple conjoined end stacks. At the rear, there is a 19th-century wooden porch, along with 12-pane sashes and Yorkshire sashes.
Inside, the farmhouse has a staircase with turned newels and square balusters, six-panelled doors, and internal shutters. The rooms at the rear retain earlier 18th-century doors and shutters.
