Description

The Rochester tomb, located 3 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary in Whalton, is a table tomb dating from 1730. It is made of sandstone and features a slab with a moulded edge. The inscription reads "THE BURIAL PLACE of William Rochester of Whalton." The tomb is supported by five square moulded urn legs.
