Description

The Milburn memorial, located 5 metres north of the chancel of the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Longhoughton, is a graveyard memorial dating from 1886. It is made of white marble and designed as a monolith that mimics rough stonework. The east face features a shaped panel adorned with carved ivy leaves and an inscription dedicated to Isaac Milburn, who was a bonesetter. This memorial is included for its historic interest, as Milburn served as a bonesetter to the Royal family.
