Description
This is a signpost located at the junction with Station Road in Longhoughton Village. It dates from the late 19th century or early 20th century and was made by Smith Paterson & Co. of Blaydon. The signpost is made of painted cast iron and features a cylindrical shaft with the maker's stamp, a moulded top with a finial, and three bolt-on arms with clipped corners, although the fourth arm has been removed. The signpost indicates distances to Alnwick, Lesbury, Warkworth, Howick, and Embleton.
