Description
The building is a garden house located 40 yards south-east of Lee Hall, dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of random rubble and has a square shape, measuring approximately 15 feet by 15 feet. The structure is two storeys high with a basement, although only two walls remain standing at full height while the others are in ruins. The basement, which may have served as an ice house, features a ramped approach with dry-stone retaining walls. The doorway has a roll-moulded surround and a lintel with an inset rectangle. On the left side, there is a ground-floor door with a hoodmould and three pigeon holes with alighting ledges in the gable.
Inside, the basement has a stone segment-vaulted ceiling, and there are remnants of fireplaces on both the ground and first floors. At the time of the survey, the building was empty and in a dilapidated condition.
