Description

This headstone, located 7 metres south of the Church of St. Michael and All Angels, dates back to 1796. It is made of cut sandstone and features a flat top with a relief-carved design. The top includes an oval panel surrounded by garlands and cherubs in mourning. The inscription commemorates James Innes of Felton, who died in 1758, and his wife Ann, who died in 1796. It states, "Their only surviving son, James Innes, of Croydon in the county of Surrey, erected this stone in memory of good parents."
