Description

This headstone, dating from 1770, is located 4 metres southwest of the vestry of the Church of St. Michael in Longhoughton. It is made of sandstone and features a trefoiled top that encloses a sunk panel. Above the panel, there is a cherub above large crossed bones, with an hourglass flanked by flowers beneath the inscription dedicated to James Groves.
