Description
Chapel Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century, with an early 19th-century outshut that incorporates some early 17th-century fabric. The ground floor is made of roughly-coursed rubble, while the first floor features roughly-squared stone with some cut dressings. The roof is primarily covered with stone slates, except for the outshut, which has Welsh slates. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, arranged symmetrically.
The central entrance has a 20th-century glazed door set within an alternating-block surround that has a narrow chamfer. This door is flanked by 4-pane sash windows. On the first floor, there is a central 12-pane sash window flanked by 4-pane casements, all of which are in older openings. The house has stepped end stacks.
Chapel Cottage is listed for its group value.
