Description
The boundary wall to the east of Cresswell Tower is a mid-19th century structure that incorporates part of the wall from an early 18th century house. It is made of squared stone, with sections that have been tooled in the 19th century, and features decorative dressings. The northern part of the wall dates back to the 18th century and includes a plinth and a sill string. There is a blocked doorway with a lugged architrave, which has a pulvinated frieze and pediments, and this doorway is flanked by parts of the architraves from adjacent windows. The wall has a canted-out section to the south near the tower, as well as a short straight section with a coped top to the south.
