Description
The remains of an old bridge, likely dating from the 14th century, are located on the west bank of the Devil's Water, 120 metres south of the A695 bridge. The structure has been altered in the early 19th century and is constructed from rubble with cut dressings. The lower parts of the west abutment and an adjacent pier are visible, each displaying the springing of chamfered ribs. The southern extension of the pier is probably intended to support an aqueduct leading to the mill at Dilston Haugh Farm.
