Description
Dilston Crossing House, built around 1820, is a house constructed of rubble with tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building is designed in an L shape. The east elevation features two storeys with three slightly irregular bays and a square plinth. There is a left-of-centre flush-panelled door with a 5-pane overlight, set in a raised and chamfered alternating-block surround. The house has 12-pane sash windows, although the lower left window has been renewed, all with raised tooled lintels and sills. The gables are coped and have stepped end stacks. The left side of the house shows similar window arrangements and includes a 6-panel door in a chamfered alternating-block surround leading to the rear wing. To the far left, there is a single-storey outbuilding with boarded double doors, also in a similar surround.
