Description

The walled garden, stable, and coach house located approximately 30 yards north of Buckton House date from the 18th century. The structures are built of random rubble, with the stable constructed from brick and featuring a Scottish slate roof. The wall surrounding the garden stands about 8 feet high, lower on the south side and topped with flat coping.

The coach house and stable are situated on the west side and are integrated into the wall, forming an L-shape. The stable is made of brick in English garden wall bond and has a steeply-pitched roof with gables that display tumbled-in brickwork. There is a part-shuttered window with an alternating-block surround facing the garden, along with double doors on the opposite gable end.

The attached coach house features a gabled roof with an old brick ridge stack and has 20th-century garage doors at the rear.
