Description
Corneyside is a farmhouse built around 1730-1740, constructed from ashlar stone with a stone slate roof. It features a classical style, standing three storeys high with five bays, and a slightly projecting pedimented three-bay center. The entrance includes a six-panel door framed by an architrave, with a pulvinated frieze, cornice, and a pediment supported by scrolled brackets. The building has eight-pane sash windows set within architraves, while the second floor showcases square six-pane sashes in architraves. There are bands marking the first and second floors, and the gabled roof is topped with flat coping and kneelers, along with renewed brick end stacks.
Inside, the farmhouse boasts a staircase featuring a moulded and ramped handrail, along with turned balusters that have square knops. It also includes six- and two-panel doors and internal shutters.
