Description

This building is a pant (a type of water reservoir) located in Shilbottle Village, dated 1868 and constructed for the Duke of Northumberland. It features a square plan made of granite and sandstone ashlar. The structure has a single-step base, a moulded plinth, and plain angle pilasters. The front panel includes a bowl with bronze bucket-rest bars and an arched panel behind, all crafted from polished pink granite, with a date tablet positioned above. The design is completed with a moulded cornice and a swept domed top.
