Description
The farm buildings attached to the east of Brockley Hall Farmhouse date from the early 19th century and incorporate earlier masonry. They are constructed of random rubble with ashlar dressings and have a Welsh slate roof, forming a U-plan layout.
The two-storey range attached to the farmhouse includes a garage with boarded double doors, followed by shelter sheds that feature two segmental arches and a granary above. To the right, there is a single-storey byre and stable with two boarded doors and one shuttered window.
From the end of this range, a shelter shed and hen house project outward. Built into the gable end of this range is a fireplace lintel with moulding similar to that of the house's doorway, inscribed with "THOMAS WHARTON 1666." The right corner is rounded and has a corbel to support the roof. The buildings have gabled roofs with flat coping.
Inside the hen house, there are stone nesting boxes. A 20th-century shed located in the center of the farmyard is not of special interest. These farm buildings are included for their group value with the farmhouse.
