Description

The terrace walls to the south of Sandhoe High House date from the early 18th century. They are constructed of coursed rubble with roughly-shaped dressings. The upper wall stands 3 metres high and features flat slab coping, along with old stone steps at the right end and four raking buttresses to the left of centre. The left return slopes down to meet a lower wall that is 1 metre high, which has roughly-arched coping. The right return extends to the roadside.
