Description
This privy house, located 80 metres north-east of Seaton Delaval Hall, dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed from squared tooled stone with cut dressings, and its roof is not visible. The building is designed in the Palladian style, featuring a plinth, cornice, and a moulded parapet. The central part of the front projects forward and includes a fielded-panel door with a radial fanlight set in a Venetian surround, complete with a keyed archivolt and small flanking 4-pane casements.
