Description
Nos. 94, 94A, 100, and 102 Marygate are a group of buildings located on the north side of Marygate. The buildings date from the 18th century, with Nos. 100 and 102 forming a prominent corner structure. Their exterior above the ground floor is of 18th-century origin, although the interior may be older. The buildings are three storeys high and feature two windows. The exterior is made of stone, which is painted, and they have a hipped roof covered with pantiles, though slates have been used at the lower edge. The second floor has sash windows without glazing bars, while the first floor has 19th-century windows. The ground floor is modern but includes a moulded beam that suggests a former overhang. Nos. 94 and 94A are located behind Nos. 100 and 102 and face east. These buildings are also three storeys high and date from the 18th century, featuring three windows. Their stone exterior is not painted, and the glazing bars remain intact above the ground floor. The northern half has a modern shop front.
