Description

63 Marygate is an 18th-century building that is part of the same property as Nos 2 and 4 West Street. It features colour-washed ashlar with rusticated quoins, gable scrolls, and old brick chimneys. The building has three storeys and attics, with a modern shop front. Each upper floor has three sash windows set in architraves, and there is a gilded pestle and mortar displayed on a wrought iron bracket. Nos 37 to 67 (odd) form a group with this building.
