Description

This garden ornament, located 6 metres east of the south-east corner of Shotley Hall, consists of a late 12th century capital set on a 19th century shaft. Made of sandstone, it features a bell-shaped circular capital adorned with corbel-like ornamentation, which is mounted on a short circular shaft.
