Description

The monument to John Bell, located 10 yards north of St. Oswald's Church, is a churchyard memorial dating from 1847. It is made of sandstone and stands only 2 feet high. The small rectangular stone features a carving of a stylized tree and a lamb on an altar, all set within a moulded frame. Additionally, there are carvings of vine leaves and scrolls along both edges, which also extend to the top of the monument.
