Description
This stone footbridge, built in the third quarter of the 19th century for Lord Armstrong, spans the Debdon Burn and is located 220 metres south-west of Cragside. It features rock-faced stone with dressings and is designed as a hogback bridge with a single segmental arch. The low parapets are adorned with a series of circular sinkings, likely intended for ferns. The bridge serves as part of the main path connecting Cragside to the conservatories and gardens at Cragside Park House.
