Description
The sunshine recorder, dating from the late 19th century, is located to the south-east of the conservatory at Cragside Park House. It was created for Lord Armstrong and features a bronze and glass design mounted on a cut stone plinth. The recorder was made by Brady and Martin of Newcastle, as indicated by the maker's plate. It stands on a square plinth with a chamfered base, stop-chamfered angles, and a moulded cap. This structure is included in the listing due to its historical significance.
