Description

The Atkinson headstone, located 15 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Embleton, dates from 1768. It is made of sandstone and features a swept trefoiled top. The headstone has an oval panel with a relief-carved cherub above the inscription dedicated to Lydia, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Atkinson of Dunstan Square.
