Description
The garden walls to the east of Thirston House are a Grade II listed structure dating from the early 19th century, with later alterations. They are constructed of brick and stone, featuring a tall rubble wall with a brick internal face and a flat stone coping. On the north side, there is a boarded door with a segmental-arched head. To the east, an arbour has a rebuilt round-headed arch with a keystone, an external coped gable, and a pantile roof. Adjacent to the internal face of the wall, north of the arbour, there is a well with steps leading down to a pool that is framed by a re-set 19th-century fireplace surround.
