Description

Old Felton Bridge over the River Coquet is a bridge that likely dates back to the 15th century, with widening work carried out in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of squared stone, with the east side of the north arch being widened in tooled-and-margined stone. The bridge features three arches, each supported by four chamfered ribs, all of which have been widened towards the west. On the west face, there are two semicircular arches and one segmental arch, each with arch rings. Triangular cutwaters rise up to serve as refuges. The parapets are finished with chamfered coping.
