Description
The farm buildings located north and east of High Waskerley farmhouse were constructed in the early 19th century. They are made of coursed rubble with cut quoins and dressings, featuring slate roofs, except for the south range which has 20th-century asbestos sheets. A stone stack is present. These buildings and the farmhouse create a rectangular yard.
To the east of the house, there is a single-storey south range that has boarded double doors under a segmental arch with raised impost blocks, along with a 20-pane iron-framed casement window to the left and an old ridge stack. The east range is also single-storey, while the north range consists of two two-storey sections with an open entry between them. The west range is a two-storey barn with a single-storey section to the south that connects it to the house. The barn features boarded doors in alternating-block surrounds and part-slatted windows, some of which are set in stone surrounds.
At the rear of the barn, there is a gingang with seven piers and a conical roof, which was partly collapsed at the time of the survey. Additionally, a carved human head is built into the wall above the door on the east side of the barn.
