Description
Southern House at Nether House is an 18th-century house that was extended in the early 19th century. It is constructed of squared rubble with stone dressings and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and is divided into two sections, with the main section having two bays. The central entrance consists of a boarded door with large stone dressings. To the right of the door, there is a small fixed window with six panes and a similar window above it, both set in chamfered surrounds with large dressings. To the left, there are 16-pane sash windows. The extension on the right side includes a 12-pane sash window on the ground floor and a shortened 9-pane sash window above. The right gable has a coped top with a rebuilt brick stack, while the left gable features a stone stack. There is also an outshut at the rear of the house.
