Description
This bridge, located 200 metres south of Nunriding Hall, was originally built in 1745 and reconstructed in 1907. It is made of stone and reinforced concrete, featuring a segmental arch supported by three curved girders, transverse beams, and vertical struts. The squared stone parapets have chamfered coping that flares out to square piers. The stream flows over a paved invert. An inscription on the internal face of the east parapet reads "RECONSTRUCTED BY E.L.O. MITFORD 1907." On the west parapet, concealed by ivy, there is another inscription that states "ROBERT FENWICK, ESQ. 1745: MR OLIVER CARR, STEWARD: ROBERT ROBINSON, BUILDER."
