Description

MIDDLESBROUGH STOKESLEY ROAD, NZ 51 NW (5115) (west side), Marton.

4/78 Coach house, stable and screen wall c,10m north-east of Westside House. G.V. II Coach house and stable, mid/late C19. Brick; Welsh slate roof with stone gable copings. 1 storey, 4 bays. Left boarded sliding double doors, sash window with glazing bars and painted sill, boarded door. Right projecting hip-roofed porch with sash window and boarded door in left return. Central half-dormer with boarded loft door and hipped roof. Right end stack with brick corbelling. Screen wall, with flat stone copings, runs between left end and Westside House. Timber and iron outbuildings, adjoining east side of stable, are not of special interest.
