Description

The stable block, located 4 meters to the east of Briarmead, was built in 1883 by architect Philip Webb for W.T. Tate. It features a roughcast exterior on brick and has a clay pantile roof with raised stone gable copings. The building is 1½ storeys tall, with door and window openings on the north side, including one first-floor shuttered window facing the street. There is also a single-storey pent wing to the west. The south side of the stable block adjoins the loggia of Briarmead. This structure is included for its group value.
