Description
This is a terrace of four early 19th-century dwellings located on the east side of Regent Street, Headland, Hartlepool. The buildings are constructed of painted stucco and render over brick, with Welsh slate roofs and four brick ridge stacks. Each dwelling is two storeys and two bays wide. Each property features a round-headed doorway on the left side, with the doorway to number 1 having an architrave and faceted key. A canted first-floor oriel window is present in the right-hand bay of each property, with that of number 7 flanked by simple timber pilasters. Windows and doors have been altered in the mid to late 20th century within their original openings, though ground-floor openings at number 7 have also been altered. The buildings feature painted stone sills and wedge lintels. Rear wings and extensions are not considered historically significant. The terrace is included on the list for its group value.
