Description
The outbuildings to the north of Low Walworth Hall are early 19th-century linked ranges, originally comprising a former house flanked by single-storey ranges. They are constructed of squared limestone with pantiled roofs, stone-flagged eaves, and brick chimney stacks, arranged in a linear plan.
The former house, now used as a garage/storage space, was originally stables, and features two storeys and four bays. It has an off-centre Dutch door and a mix of sash and casement windows with tooled-and-margined lintels and projecting sills; a 20th-century vehicle opening is located to the right. A wooden stair leads to a first-floor boarded door. The roof has coped gables, with end and ridge stacks.
To the left return is a single-storey, seven-bay range of former loose boxes, now used for storage. It has boarded and Dutch doors with three-pane overlights, along with partly-glazed hit-and-miss windows. The roof has a coped left gable. A single-storey, four-bay range is situated on the right return, with a coped right gable. Boarded doors and altered window openings are visible on the rear elevation. Sheds located on the rear of the left range and on the return of the right range are not considered to be of particular architectural interest.
The outbuildings are included in the listing for their group value in relation to Low Walworth Hall.
