Description

This is a mid-17th century house with alterations and a major restoration between 1983 and 1985. It is constructed of coursed rubble with renewed pantiled roofs and a rebuilt brick chimney stack. The entrance is now located in the left rear wing. The house is two storeys tall and features roughly-shaped alternating quoins. Windows are casements in late 20th century openings, with concrete sills and lintels. The steeply-pitched roof has gable parapets with moulded copings and square kneelers. A large external chimney on the right return has numerous offsets on the front and remnants of a semicircular beehive oven on the rear. Smaller, scattered window openings are on the right return. A two-storey rear wing, originally a farm building, has altered openings and a coped rear gable with a ledge suggesting a former pigeon loft.
