Description
The structure consists of a churchyard wall, gate piers, an overthrow, and a lantern located to the west of the Church of St. Mary, likely built in 1873. The wall is constructed of snecked stone, while the gate piers are made of ashlar. There is an iron overthrow and a lantern above, featuring a central pair of gate piers with semicircular caps. The curved overthrow supports a small lantern with sloping panes and a cylindrical top vent. The low flanking front walls have triangular coping with a roll-moulded top. The walls step up twice at the ends, and there are similar stepped return walls: the wall on the right adjoins No. 25 The Green, while the wall on the left is interrupted by a gateway and adjoins a farm building. This structure is included for its group value.
