Description

Oak Tree Farmhouse, now a private house, was built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of narrow brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a renewed Welsh slate roof and old brick chimney stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three bays. The windows are characterised by gauged flat arches of light-red brick and projecting stone sills, and contain 12-pane sashes. A double band runs between the two storeys. The roof is steeply pitched and has 20th-century brick coping on the left side. A central 6-panel door with a 4-pane overlight is situated behind a mid-20th century trellis porch. End stacks are present, with decorative top bands. Farmbuildings to the left and a semi-derelict range returning on the right are not considered to be of particular architectural interest. This building should not be confused with Oak Tree Farmhouse.
